Knowing the basics for six hours----does this qualify me to join this group? Thank you Bradley and Gus! I will try to remember what you taught me until I see you again! :)

Someone tell McIsaac that he does not have to sign up for New England Actor all over again just to join this group...he tried to join the site when he's already a member!

Chuck "I've got 4000 people on my Crackberry" Slavin and I won most of the games during the Furry Vengeance.

Yo Bob, Wanted to play yesterday but everyone backed out. Time to find a night and serve up some Bradley/Roy sandwiches.

Dear Euchre Dogs, what has become of you? I've been working on bringing peace and happiness to the entire world before getting a hair cut. I don't mean to complain but no one has sent flowers, written witty poetry or belched (except for Roy who does that at the end of every simple sentence). Reach out fellas: life is long; Euchre games are short.

There's a joke that David Foster Wallace told, "there are these two fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says, "Morning boys. How's the water?" And the two fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes, "What the hell is water?"

The immediate point of the story is that the most obvious, important realities are often the ones that are the hardest to see and talk about.

Last night, some of us came over to the house and played a game of Euchre. I say some of us played because Roy and Bradley were like two fish out of water in the early games, losing to Lynn Lori and Jamie who cleverly pretended not to understand the rules of the game. Outstanding strategy for minnows fighting sharks.

Anyway, it was great to have everyone to the house and I hope we can do it again sometime soon.

Did you say flies? Don't worry, Roy will be here. He's like a human fly strip. You'll hear the buzzing three minutes before he arrives.

I've dropped sushi from the menu and will drop this wonderful anchovy appetizer I was thinking of making and replaced them all with pizza, beer nuts and chips and dip. With the exception of Lynne, your food palette is as exciting as Wonder Bread and American cheese.

Not to worry. I'll get a few different pies - veggies without cheese, veggies with cheese, one with meat, another with chicken and one with a doggie bag, so Roy will have something to take home besides The Boston Globe. I'll also have few burgers and fixins' on hand for those who want them.

One thing I did forget to mention is I have an in-ground swimming pool and if the weather is nice and you're so inclined, bring a bathing suit and jump in. The water is freezing, but don't let that deter you. (Don't worry Roy, I have an inflatable lovable Linda doll for you, so you won't have to swim alone. It's all the rage along the Charles with Duck Boat crew.)

Have a great weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you...well, most of you...next week.

I eat anything but anchovies and sushi (raw fish)...oh yeah and olives too...due to a New Year's Eve I'd like to forget...count me in for burgers and/or pizza...ya know, since it is summer and we're in a celebratory time of our Nation's (what's left of it) Birthday....I think grilling something is spot on!

Okay, Euchre fans, the game is on and the menu is set. I'll buy a variety of pizzas from Sweet Tomatoes and stock the fridge with beer and wine. Jamie, since I like to please as many tastes as possible, I'll be happy to grill you a couple of burgers. Any other requests, please pass them along.
Since Roy only reads his email once a week, I've been having a lot of fun at his expense. I'm sure as soon as he finds the "on" button, he'll jump into the "one liner" ring with me.

Speaking of (about) Roy, he will be eating crow Thursday night and Lynne was kind enough to agree to bring he and Bradley an IV of Focus or lithium, whatever she can get her hands on.

Enjoy your weekend everyone. I'm looking forward to seeing on next Thursday.

I'll bring the beer, the healthy stuff doesn't do it for me (sorry Lynne) and I hear that Bradley and Roy are light weights. Let me what you drink.
